Short Bio
Debayan Koley is currently employed as an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Science at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. He holds a doctoral degree in statistics from Banaras Hindu University, a master’s degree in statistics from Visva-Bharati University and a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Midnapore College (Autonomous). His primary research interests lie in reliability theory, statistical inference, and Bayesian computation, with a focus on developing methods that are both theoretically robust and practically applicable. Beyond academics, Debayan is a voracious reader across genres and an avid film enthusiast. In his leisure time, he enjoys creative writing, learning new languages and playing the amateur violin.
